We welcome pets to Raddicombe Lodge

I'm Bess and I'm a 8 year old cocker spaniel who lives at Raddicombe. I love swimming, walking, boating and greeting guests to the lodge.....Watch out for me in the garden especially when there are biscuits about .......but remember I'm on a diet....????

We welcome other dogs to Raddicombe Lodge as the local area offers a wide variety of walks that we are sure you and your dog will enjoy. For advice on local walks and dog friendly beaches, please ask at reception. Ask about the dog route down to our local beach Man Sands....it's straight from the back gate of the lodge!!!

We want to ensure that both you and your dog enjoy your stay with us and hope that the following information and guidelines will prove helpful.

Dogs are allowed at Raddicombe Lodge entirely at the discretion of the owners of the lodge. You should always check about bringing dogs at the time of booking your accommodation.

We reserve the right to refuse any dog entry to the lodge and the right to request that owners remove any dog from the premises at any time during your stay, if the dog is deemed to be a nuisance to other guests or has caused any damage to lodge property. We make an additional charge to dog owners for any cleaning or repair that is deemed beyond normal wear and tear.

The charges for dogs in the hotel rooms are:

For stays of 1 - 6 nights, dogs are charged at £6.00 per night and for stays of 7 nights or more, dogs are charged at £5.00 per night.

As we are sure you are aware, dogs are not permitted in public rooms, including the conservatory and are not to be left unattended in the bedrooms. Many dogs can be distressed by being left alone in an unfamiliar room. They can disturb other guests by barking and some have been known to cause damage....so for your dogs sake and other guests we have adopted this policy. Most guests leave their dogs in their car whilst having breakfast...and when the weather is good we are more than happy to serve breakfast for you on our terrace, deck area or garden.....so that you can have breakfast with your dog.

You are welcome to let your dog onto the lodge lawn as long as they are kept under control at all times.

For health and safety reasons and in consideration of your fellow guests, please do not allow your dogs to foul lodge grounds or within the hotel premises. "pooper bags" are available from reception to assist you in removing any "deposits"....a "pooper bin" is provided for those used bags.

In the unlikely event of your dog requiring any vetinary assistance, we will be pleased to help you.
